Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how AM Ready (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the AM Ready mobile app and related services on amready.app.

AM Ready is a morning co-pilot: it helps you plan a leave-on-time routine, adjust tomorrow in the evening, and follow checkpoints in the morning. We designed the app to keep your day-to-day schedule useful on your device, with optional account backup and AI features that need the network.

This page is written for real people. It is not legal advice. If you need formal counsel for your jurisdiction, please talk to a lawyer.

1. Who we are

AM Ready is operated via amready.app. For privacy questions, email hello@amready.app.

2. What we collect

Depending on how you use AM Ready, we may process:

Information you provide

  • Account details — if you sign in (for example email address via Apple or Google sign-in providers we support).
  • Routine & schedule content — steps, times, Finish by / morning-begins settings, checklist items, alert preferences, and day-to-day edits.
  • Assistant messages — text you type or dictate in chat, and the assistant’s replies and proposed schedule changes.
  • Support messages — if you email us or contact us from the app.

Information created by the app

  • On-device app data — local database of routines, schedules, and settings so mornings work even when the network is spotty.
  • Subscription status — whether you have an active entitlement (handled with Apple’s billing; we use a subscription provider such as RevenueCat to check entitlement on device).
  • Technical details for AI & logging — for example app version, platform, assistant mode (evening check-in vs general), schedule scope (Routine vs a specific day), and related debug context when chat logging is enabled.

Permissions on your iPhone

  • Notifications — morning and evening reminders.
  • Alarms — for hard-to-miss steps on supported iOS versions (separate from notifications).
  • Microphone — only if you use voice input; we send audio for transcription, not for public posting.

We do not sell your personal information.

3. How we use information

  • Run the core product: compile your morning schedule, show Home, send reminders/alarms you enable.
  • Sync and restore your routine when you use an account.
  • Power the AI assistant and speech-to-text features you choose to use.
  • Improve the assistant (see Assistant chat logging).
  • Provide support, fix bugs, and protect the service against abuse.
  • Meet legal obligations when required.

4. AI assistant & voice

When you use chat or voice-to-text, content needed for that request is sent to our AI / speech providers (for example OpenAI) so the assistant can understand you and suggest schedule updates. Treat the assistant like any cloud-powered helper: avoid putting passwords, payment details, or other secrets in chat.

Voice recordings are used to create a transcript for you to review before sending. We do not intend to keep raw microphone audio as a standing archive for product analytics.

5. Assistant chat logging

To make the assistant more reliable over time, we may store copies of assistant conversations and related debug context on our servers (for example as secured files on infrastructure we control).

We use this to:

  • See where the assistant misunderstands people,
  • Fix bad tool choices and prompts,
  • Improve quality for everyone.

We do not use these logs to sell ads or to track you across other companies’ apps for advertising. Details of exactly what fields we store may evolve; we will keep this policy and in-app Help updated as the logging pipeline ships and matures.

6. Sharing

We share information only as needed to operate AM Ready, including:

  • Service providers — hosting, authentication, AI/speech APIs, and subscription entitlement checks. They process data on our instructions for those purposes.
  • Apple — purchases and restore flows go through the App Store; Apple’s terms and privacy rules apply to billing.
  • Legal — if we must disclose information to comply with law, enforce terms, or protect users and the service.

7. Storage & security

  • On your device — routines and day schedules live locally so you can use the morning plan offline once the app is set up.
  • In the cloud (if you create an account) — we keep a backup of routine-related data so you can restore after a new phone or reinstall.
  • On our logging servers — assistant logs (when enabled) are stored with access controls intended for our team only.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We take reasonable steps to protect data, and we ask you to protect your device and account as well.

8. Retention

  • On-device data stays until you delete it, delete your account, or remove the app (guest data is local-only).
  • Account / backup data is kept while your account is active and deleted when you delete your account, subject to short backup or legal hold periods if required.
  • Assistant logs are kept only as long as useful for product improvement and security; we may shorten or refine retention as the system matures.

9. Your choices & rights

  • Permissions — you can revoke notifications, alarms, or microphone access in iOS Settings.
  • Account — delete your account from Settings in the app (this removes cloud backup and local routine data on that device; App Store subscriptions are managed separately with Apple).
  • Guest use — without an account, routine data stays on the device; uninstalling removes it unless you had a device backup.
  • Privacy requests — depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. Email hello@amready.app and we will help.

10. Children

AM Ready is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the product grows. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, when changes are material, take additional steps as appropriate (for example an in-app note or updated App Store privacy labels).
